Summarize the plot!

How was the film received? Discuss different judgements!

Do you think that the actors / director / other members of the film crew did a good job?
Make a list of difficult words in the movie dialogue and their German equivalents!
Translate the most difficult parts of the dialogue into German!
Is the film based upon a book? If so, find out everything about the book and its author. Do you think that the film illustrates the book well?
For a learner of English as a foreign language listening comprehension is difficult.
Understanding English spoken in films is especially difficult since
- the soundtrack is sometimes bad
- the actors come from different countries / regions
- the actors do not care if they speak clearly and slowly
- it takes some time to get accustomed to their voices and speaking habits.
When watching a film at the cinema, it is not possible to have certain parts repeated. This is no problem with videos - you can listen as often as you want.
You can either listen to certain passages more than once or watch the whole movie more than once.
I added the scripted dialogue. Now it is possible to
read the dialogue before watching the film or
read the dialogue simultaneously.
The latter can be done by opening two windows on the screen: one window showing the video and the other one below showing the spoken words.
